Equigesta-Pre

My two ponies had digestive problems and commenced Equigesta-Pre. After a few weeks they are looking very healthy and content.

I promised to keep in touch and this is Week 6 of the Equigesta-Pre for my OTT mare 'Quattro'. She weighs approx. 500kg with possible (undiagnosed) gastric ulcers, and is down to two scoops a day, one in her morning feed and one for dinner. Here's what I'm observing with great joy!
1. Her condition following your dietary recommendations with this gut supplement has improved enormously to date;
2. Over the past 10 days I've found her lying down in the paddock on several occasions, resting at ease, either by herself or with a paddock mate. Total relaxation is out of ordinary for this mare and makes me so happy because each time I see her lying down is time she's not windsucking; and
3. Her habitual windsucking behaviour continues but I'm catching it less now because of these new resting interludes.
All in all, I'm thrilled with her progress and want to thank you for your dietary recommendations. I intend to keep her on this feeding regime to the letter for the proof is in the pudding!

As with several other McDowell's products, Equigesta-Pre is of particular importance to ensure my ponies gut health remains in balance and harmony. I serve a maintenance dose with food on a daily basis, and have not observed the health issues seen prior. Of course, all other practices have to kept in check to bring out the best result in the supplement. Again, I have confidence in Equigesta-Pre's potency and ingredient effectiveness.

My mare Nikki ingested a highly poisonous plant in January. She had hallucinations, colic-like behavior, anxiety, and other symptoms indicating damage to her brain stem. The ulcers did not show up until May, then she was grazing her sides constantly from discomfort. I have had horses with ulcers before but nothing like this. I ordered Equigesta-Pre and Nikki started getting relief within 10 days. Per Cath McDowell's recommendation, I doubled the dose for 12 weeks. The last 3-4 weeks there was no more belly scratching. Now we are down to one time daily until I finish the next tub, probably another 2-3 months. This product is not only immediately effective but is less costly than Gastro-Guard. Over time it may cost the same but for my pocket book I could only afford the Equigesta-Pre on a monthly basis. In addition, McDowells is available for advice and consultation any time you need it. I am relieved that my mare stopped suffering right away and am grateful to have found such a high level product and knowledge base of herbal application for horses. Thank you Cath and staff!

This is a product I use daily administered with my ponies food mix. With the importance of gut health, it is one of the most valuable of supplements. I highly recommend this product as many health issues arise from an imbalanced and under performing gut. Once again, as with other McDowells products, I purchase the larger quantity container as I am using product ongoing. The initial monetary outlay is more expensive, but cheaper per volume.

We have all of our horses from large warmbloods to minis on Equigestre pre as part of their daily feed because we have found it to be an invaluable in maintaining their health. As most of ours (15 in total) are rescues we suspect that there will be undiagnosed ulcer and gut issues due to trauma and constant flooding of cortisol and adrenalin. Equigestre Pre addresses the known and possibly unknown issues by soothing, nourishing and stabilising their gut and keeps their manure just right. When I have run out, after a week or so, I can notice in the difference in older horses who are prone to digestive issues and scouring and as soon as they go back on it after a few days, voila - all is good again.
