Description / Tendon & Bone Liquid Activator

There are a large number of simple and inexpensive ways in which herbs can be used to both aid in the maturity of bones in young competition horses, and to support normal healing processes and resolve injury and strain occasioned by workload or injury.

These preventative programs and traditional injury treatments should always be the first considered and you should manage them yourselves. Veterinary medicine and surgery should be reserved for those occasions when herbal and home remedies and programs need assistance. It is usually not even necessary to carry out many of the standard tests, scans and X-ray examinations to attempt to exactly verify the site or nature of the injury as this mostly does not justify in terms of improved treatment the cost of such procedures.

Herbs will aid in healing and recovery from injury wherever it is found in the body. Therefore every time you are treating a specific problem the herbs will also seek out other areas of past or impending weakness and take advantage of the opportunity to resolve these without your even knowing it is going on.

Preventative Maintenance is the first and best place to start in ensuring good health.

Tendon and Bone Liquid activator contains a combination of Elecampane, Yarrow and Horsetail.

When fed with Kelp granules, ground Linseed, ground Millet, helps to promote the re-growth of attachment points and the re-tensioning of stretched or damaged ligaments.

Elecampane is a stimulant to fibroblast and osteoblast activity due to its allantoin content.

You will also need :

Ground millet meal -3.5 kilos

Ground Flax meal- 3.5 kilos

Kelp 700 grams

Yarrow 500 grams

Mix all the above together and add in the 2 litres of the liquid activator.

Have used this product in conjunction with the Tendon and Bone Mix and Alleviate Complete- very impressed with the results.

I have three horses with different issues that have all benefited from this product. Firstly, an ISH mare who fractured her pelvis as a foal. She has been a good riding mare for many years although she has never tracked straight because of her past injury. She is now 24 and has arthritis and general stiffness. She has been on Pentosan for a couple of years with no real improvement. I now have her on Alleviate Compete, Tendon and Bone Mix and Tendon and Bone Activator. The difference is very noticeable, she is much more free moving and comfortable. Secondly, a 16yo ISH mare who has had intermittent lameness in her near fore for the past five years. Pentosan treatment also yielded little improvement and despite X-rays no obvious cause for the lameness has been found. Since being on the same regime as the older mare mentioned above, I have seen a huge improvement, in fact today she was trotting about with no sign of lameness. I am reserving judgement on her improvement as in the past rest and bute have given some short term improvement, but I am optimistic and like the fact that the herbal combinations are not going to damage her kidneys. Thirdly, a 10 year old Connemara with Annular ligament fibrosis. He is rarely lame but has a stiff action in front. He is on the Tendon and Bone Activator and the Tendon and Bone Mix and he is now more forward when ridden and there is a great improvement in his movement.

I have had 3 occasions with horses over the past 20 years where I have required this product. The first was a 3 year old that fractured his pedal bone through to the joint. His prognosis was not good and the vet suggested euthanasia. He had a rim shoe put on and was confined in a stable for two months. He was put on the tendon and bone repair, anti inflammatory and a herbal diet. 6 months into his recovery, I called the vets to have him re xrayed. They were amazed to see that on the xray, there was no sign of the break. He was completely sound and never showed any lameness. The next was a 3 year old filly who got kicked by another horse causing a possible fracture up high on the inside of the leg. I followed the same regime and she to quickly went back to full soundness. About 6 months after the injury, the area swelled up again and eventually expelled a small bone fragment. She is completely sound and starting her ridden career. Currently I am treating a mare that has been unsound for two years with suspected ligament injury in her hind legs. We still have along way to go but she is centering in the paddock and able to keep up with the other horses. She is no longer laying down as much. She is only a couple of months into her herbal treatment so I expect her to make a full recovery in time. I cannot recommend this product highly enough. It is my go to for any structural injury.
