Degenerative Myelopathy Mix

We have been using these drops in conjunction with Mobility & Maritime Pine Bark drops as advised by Nicki the Veterinary herbalist since May 2024 after Jorja's diagnosis 11months before, and her deterioration the vet said he didn't think she'd be with us this Christmas!
Well, what a difference this program has been for Jorja's health. When we started, she had terrible Ataxic unsteady gait and a dead tail, a very hoarse bark. We were very fearful of her becoming paralysed very soon after on vets prognosis.
After 3months she is now walking, running & holding her tail up in the air again and she is able to wag it again after no movement for many months.
She has developed muscle strength in her hind &front legs again owing to greater mobility. These drops have given her a fantastic lease on life again She's not depressed anymore as she's able to play with our 3 Weimaraner Long Hairs now. Jorja is back to her very happy smiling energetic self!
Yes, she is still a bit wobbly on some days, but all in all she is a different dog from being on this program. We know this disease will eventually take her from us owing to the hoarse bark now and the risk of paralysis being higher in her larynx affecting her ability to swallow along with losing the use of her legs also eventually. Luckily she is still continent at this stage.
We are very grateful that these drops are giving her quality life and we hope and pray that we will have her for another four years, if these drops continue to help Jorja be the healthier dog we see now.

I would recommend this program to anyone that has a dog with degenerative myelopathy. We also recommend good physiotherapy exercises early on in the disease to give your dog a better longer life after doing a lit of research on this disease which is not genetic in Weimaraners. Our physio could not believe the difference in Jorja after 6 weeks of being on these drops, she was so surprised to see the change in her whole demeanour and strength.

My 11 year old Australian Cattle Dog suffers from severe spinal spondylosis. She ‘went down’ in her rear around Christmas 2020. She receives acupuncture/cold laser treatments weekly. Last January we rescued a very sweet 12 year old Golden Retriever. Overall he is in good health, but a few weeks into his new life with us, we noticed that he seemed to stumble a lot. Having my shepherd take this mix has helped to slow the loss of the myelin sheath in her lower back. As she has muscle atrophy in her back legs, I have noticed the bottom of her feet seem more sensitive, which means it is helping somewhat and she moves her back legs some when they are in the slings on her wheelchair.

I have a 10 1/2 year old Irish Wolfhound. Last October he was diagnosed with degenerative myelopathy. At the Beginning of March I received my first order of McDowell’s herb mixture. Almost from the start I saw an improvement. The mixture at the very least has stopped the progression in my dog. He still likes to chase my brother’s dog, not far but he still runs. It worked so well that when I was getting low, I ordered more. I would definitely recommend at least trying it if your dog has the disease.

I have a 10 year old Irish Wolfhound. Six months ago he was diagnosed with degenerative myelopathy. I could see the slow progression of the disease over the last few months. Having used McDowell's products before, I decided to give their degenerative myelopathy herbal mix a try. I've only been administering it for the last three weeks. From my observations, I can say that there has been at the very minimum, no further progression. He actually seems to be "stronger" in the rear. I will continue with the herbal mix due to the progress that I have seen.
