Laminitis is a typical problem with horses that have Cushing’s. This combination of formulas is aimed at mainatinaing endocrine harmony whilst stimulating the normal elimination of excess hormone causing the symptoms of Cushings, and the Alleve8 is used to aid mobility and improve comfort.
It is also recommend a special emergency diet that is best given for 1 month until all symptoms of laminitis have gone.

Gypsy's Cushings

My pony Gypsy has been diagnosed with Cushings disease earlier this year so I have put her on McDowell’s cushings mix. (Last summer 16 her coat did not shed as normal that was the sign that I decided to have her tested for cushings) She started on the herbs the end of June 17.
Well it has been an enormous success.
She is healthy happy and looks a million dollars this summer.
Her first test was done in March (not that you should test then because it is always higher in autumn)
ACTH was 339
Then after being on herbs for 2 months ACTH was 53
Then the last test late Oct 17 ACTH is 32
-Suggested level to be 29 –
Her coat has completely shed and she looks wonderful
