Chronic Sinus

Punchie had yellowish mucous coming out of one nostril. I ordered the chronic sinus and infect a clear. Within a couple weeks of being on these products the discharge cleared up. I am about to order it again just to keep on hand.

My 19 year old thoroughbred is not aging gracefully especially his molars. In January 2020 he had a sinus infection in his left nostril that would come and go with antibiotic treatment. After a dental exam we discovered both of his upper third molars have cavities and the 4th molars behind them are on their way out. My vet recommended tooth extractions but at the time he was also suffering from a laminitis attack so putting him under heavy sedation was not an option. After speaking with an equine dentist he told me tooth extractions are a last resort and with proper care you can manage the infections. He started getting diarrhea from antibiotics so I discontinued them and I was at a loss of what to do. He is on McCdowell’s melanoma program so I added the chronic sinus and infect-a-clear to the mix. The infection left and this time for good! Here we are a year later on this stuff and my vet cannot believe he has gone this long without any infections! She said she for sure thought the infection was there to stay until the teeth were removed! His right nostril started showing signs of yellow mucus but the next day it was gone and back to clear drainage! I would like to preserve his molars for as long as possible so he will remain on this program to keep infections at bay while his molars near the end of their life.

At your suggestion we used Chronic Sinus, Maritime Pine Bark, Colloidal Silver, and Equigest-Pre. We took him off soy based grain and he is on a product made of rice bran, coconut meal, flax seed, calcium carbonate and yeast. We started this treatment 6 weeks ago. "I first contacted Cath McDowell in September 2018 in desperate need to help my young pony, Kracka, with a one sided nasal/sinus discharge. Whilst under my care Kracka has always been treated holistically being barefoot trimmed and mostly wormed naturally with herbal and homeopathic remedies. Now I am pleased to say that Kracka has completed the prescribed course of remedies and she has no nasal discharge. She is back on the market and without advertising there appears to be a lot of interest in her. She is a very pretty pony and an amazing jumper. She's been approximately 2 weeks without supplements now and she appears really good!

Teddy quite rapidly became suddenly very unwell. High temperature, thick yellow mucus discharge from mainly 1 nostril. He did at time have Cushings Disease . Equine vet provided antibiotic treatment, but I wanted a natural remedy too. I was referred to McDowells and this product with Rosehips, Silver and other was purchased. The main cure for my horse was the Chronic Sinus treatment. Within days the mucus was drained from his nostril. Other horses since with any respiratory issues have quickly recovered when given this treatment.

At 23 years old, my Missouri Fox Trotter stallion "Box of Chocolates" for the first time developed a thick yellow discharge from his left nostril and within 5 days his face was swelling. The veterinarian placed a trephine into his nasal cavity.
He was flushed several times and sent home on Uniprim. Three months later the drainage started again. This time before it had a chance to swell, I administered a course of the Uniprim, he improved, but again in three months the drainage returned, this time the swelling came on quickly. He was sent home with a catheter in place in his sinus. I flushed his sinus twice a day and he finished a course of Uniprim. The X-rays did not reveal any abscess or fistula. After this second episode I was determined to find another answer to heal him for good.
I searched the web and found McDowell's Herbal. I wanted to get him on the sinus infection treatment as soon as possible as I learned from Catherine (Practice Directer) that the integrity of the sinus tissue needed to be restored. In less than a month from when he was last flushed out at the vet clinic he was on the McDowell regimen. I followed her instructions including adding the colloidal silver and the Chronic Sinus treatment to his feed which Chocolate ingested with no problem. Once or twice a month he had several days of light drainage, but no swelling. Eventually it was almost nothing.
Just to be sure he was completely cleared, I ordered a second course of treatment and once that was started he never had another day of drainage. He finished that course in about three months. He has not had any drainage since starting the last course. I still don't know what caused him to become infected in the first place. I do know this, the McDowell treatment has given him the ability to keep his sinus cavities functioning and disease free.

I have been amazed with the effect this has had on my horse. She has had sinusitis for 2 months with thick yellow snot coming out of one nostril. Sometimes pouring out. I was keeping it at bay with tea tree oil and holding off getting expensive antibiotics which the vet said it may still come back. After less than two days of using this remedy her snot cleared and her nose looked fine. I'm still only three weeks in but very happy with it.
